I stay away a lot now for my job and one of the places that I do tend to be put up at all of the time is the Southampton North Premier Inn. Now this Premier Inn is just off the Motorway as you head down to Southampton and it is an exceptionally nice place to stay if you are in this area. I will now tell you why this Premier Inn is a good one.
The last time I stayed here was a few weeks ago now and it is located in a small little place in Southampton and the address is as follows;
Romsey Road
Nursling and Rownhams
Southampton
SO16
My only real knowledge of the area is around the Industrial Estate at Nursling which is not the best place to see but all of the houses around this area seem very nice and there is a very village feel everywhere which is lovely. I know about 10 people who live around this Premier Inn and they love it as it is quite quiet and close to the motorway.
It is easy to find and if you have a Sat - Nav then it will get you there easily. There is a pretty big car park and every time I have been a space is very easy to find. So you walk into reception and you will have to sign in to your room and you will have to give your car registration number if you have travelled by car. The receptionists are extremely friendly and have actually always gone out of their way to help me as once my company hadn't booked me a room and they sorted it out quickly late at night.
The reception area is small but clean and you will be given a key to your room. The rooms are on 2 levels and down a few different corridors. Whichever room you get though it will be clean, very purple and should have everything you need. They even have small help packs in case you forget something such as your toothbrush.
Everything else is the same as any other Premier Inn but what I like most about Southampton North is that it has a great restaurant - The Balmoral. Now the Balmoral you walk in as it is right next to the Premier Inn and you come to a very modern looking restaurant. The seats are all different bold colours and there are a huge variety of tables and little nooks and crannies you can sit in and it also has such a great atmosphere.
The staff in here are great and the food selection is fantastic. I always have a burger though as it is just £8 and huge and yummy. As the Balmoral is directly linked to this Premier Inn you get great service and I presume it is used mainly by people staying at the Premier Inn.
The Premier Inn can book and sort out all meals at the Balmoral which is good and they are always willing to help at any time of night. There is even a bell you can ring in the early hours of the morning if nobody is at the desk so you know you can always get some service which is great.
In conclusion I think this Premier Inn is in a great location and has great services. Everything about every one of my stays has been good so I have no complaints at all.
Thanks for reading.

- 01/01/09 A good review, but why is there no advantages/disadvantages? I think they should be there in case people come to read your review and get a very brief overview from the adv/disadv's. It doesn't take a few seconds to fill them in! |
