Premier Inn (York City Centre) Reviews

Newest Review: ... efficient and managed to check everyone in quickly. We were asked if we needed any maps of the area, and were given our key fobs and told how to get to our room. The room was based on the ground floor, but I noticed there was a lift and the reception area had ramp style entrances for disabled visitors. ==The Tariff== We paid around £70 per night for this room, which is very reasonable compared to all the other hotels we looked at. York is very popular so isn't really somewhere you can expect to get discounted rooms unless it's at a very random time of year. My partner and I have just enjoyed a couple of days in the beautiful city of York, having decided to have one last break away before the scrimping for Christmas begins. We stayed in a Premier Inn in York City Centre, and although there are actually two Premier Inns in the centre of York, they are next door to each other on the same street so there's not much difference location wise. The one we stayed at was Premier Inn on Blossom Street North (the other one is Blossom Street South). ==Location== The location of the hotel is ideal for visitors to York City Centre. We booked 2 nights in this hotel in between xmas and new year so we could have a break away with the kids that wasn't too expensive (£29 per night for a family room). This was by far the cheapest accommodation we could find in York City Centre. The hotel is right in the heart of the city so is great for exploring York and it's many attractions such as York Minster, The Castle Museum and the Jorvik Centre to name but a few. It's less than half a mile from the train station which is good if you are travelling by train. The hotel has a small bar / restaurant and a Costa Coffee lounge whichis great for sitting having a relax after a days shopping / ... Read the complete review

After reviewing the hotel that we stayed in previously in York, I would have quite happily gone back for another stay, but as my husband has now got a newer and somewhat larger car (has gone from a vectra to a zafira!), he was pretty insistent that our accommodation should have ample and secure parking, as once there and parked up we never tend to use the car again until travelling home! After much perusing on the internet, and this time having a slightly better informed idea of the area we ... Read the complete review
