******************PLEASE READ BEFORE READING THE REVIEW********************
Now, after the Goffs Park, we have decided to stay at the Bristol Airport Premier Lodge, before our early morning flight from there this August (2004). The Bristol Airport one has the next generation Premier Lodge room, which we are hoping will be nice rather than the Goffs Park one. I'm confident we will be happy this time at Premier Lodge, so, I will be deleting this one soon, and be rating Premier Lodge 5 or 4 stars!

OLD REVIEW (NEW ONE COMING IN A FEW MONTHS!)
Now I have stayed at two Premier Lodges, the one I am writing avout is the one I didn't find very good- the goffs park one in crawley. Read on... There is a more positive update at the bottom

GOFFS PARK(Crawley)
This was in a street in Crawley called Goffs Park. There are a few in Crawley so check. This one was a few months later than the Tadworth(the other one I've stayed at) one but I can remember it a bit more.

OUTSIDE
There is a a main building with restaurant/bar, reception and a small number of rooms. There was another building in the carpark(not very nice) which- yes you guessed it, we got! Great- not!
The area was in a street in Crawley. Crawley is next Gatwick.

RECEPTION
Now it was alright with purple walls(I think!) and the receptionist was very, very rude! All the time we were checking in she was hiccuping. Now obviously you don't make yourself hiccup and she couldn't help it but no apology was given to us. She was also quite miserable.

HENRYS TABLE
This wasn't as good as the other one. Premier Lodges, I have learnt have different restaurants and the two we went to hat Henrys Tables. The style was very much the same
as the tadworth but the atmosphere was not very nice. It was quite cold. You could pay around £4 for a continental breakfast, £6 for traditional. Not bad? That is the same in all PL's

ROO
MS
The rooms, like I mentioned before, were in the non-main building. The rooms were very old fasioned, quite dark and quite dirty. As we walked in there were three of us but they added another bed. You may think this was good but this made the room look not nice because if it was a proper bed it would have been alright. It wasn't a proper bed- it was one of those fold up/camp beds. The furniture was old. The shower room was the size of a matchbox. The toilet and sink were next to each other and took up one length of the smaller side with the shower op
posite. The other lengths were long like a corr
id
or. They had
the usual facilities like the Tadworth one.

OVERALL
Not satisfied with this one. If I had to go back I would e-mail them and ask them if the rooms have been refurbished into the new modern rooms.

I hope this has been useful for you. I would appreciate it if you could rate this and leave a comment. Thanks
PS I haven't got anything to do with Premier Lodge. I got the info about prices and refurbishment from brochures and their website- www.premierlodge.com

***UPDATE***
I have been wondering which hotels have been refurbished to Premier Lodges new style so I gave them an e-mail. This one is one of the many ones to be refurbished so, you can probably enjoy better than what we did. The new rooms have contemporary blues and spotlights and looks more modern. This picture is on www.premierlodge.com and in booklets although there is one picture- an old room but is not the new one. I like the look of the new rooms myself. Anyone stayed in one- fresh blues in a modern style?
