I remember at the age of eleven meeting the famous Scottish comedian, Stanley Baxter whilst also meeting George Best and John Smith MP; all famous Celtic celebrities who apart from Mr Baxter are no longer alive. This was not at a special function or a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was at the very grand Central hotel in Glasgow and it all happened during the 1980's. Back then the Central Hotel was the place to meet friends, have lunches or simply go somewhere to get out of Glasgow and into another world.
