      Very helpful

Definately one to recommend for a stay in birmingham

I have stayed here 3 times and each time I have loved it! The first time I visited here was when my boyfriends mum had found a good deal on ebay for it, so she booked it for us, I think this time it only cost about £100 for 2 nights with breakfast which was great! We took the train to Birmingham New Street Station from Stoke, and it does get busy, just in case you want to get the train I would reccommend booking your seat reservations (not tht ppl take much notice of them though!).

The hotel is situation literally a 5 minute walk from the station, it is right around the corner, just dont head the wrong way or you could get lost! But this was our first time there and we found it easily.

      Check In
Check in was a breeze, you check in from 3pm , we showed them our reservation voucher from ebay, and this was fine, so there were no problems there. There are people who will happily carry your cases for you if this is something you wish to do. You are handed you room key, the 3 times we have been, we have normally been on or around level 14/16. When using the lifts, you have to use your room key, you put it in the slot inside the lift, take it out then press your level. It might take you a couple of times to get the hang of it, they are a bit tricky. We met some people in the lift who struggled with it, but they got there in the end!

I love the rooms here, they are fab, all 3 times we have stayed here we have stayed in the 'chic' room. There are 2 more options available but I dont know if you have to request there, or whether it is just on a random basis. Check the website for photo's of the rooms.
They have a large bed, which is so comfy and bouncy! And the pillows are great to just sink into! There is a plasma TV at the other end of the room, which does move from side to side, so you can see it where you are in the room. There is a desk and free internet is available, I took advantage of this and had no problems. There is then a smaller table and a big comfy chair. The rooms have air conditioning which is simple and works well. The main attraction of this hotel would be the floor to celing windows, where you overlook Birmingham (Ok, so its not the most picturesque thing to see, but the views are still great! There is the roundabout below where you can see the buildup of traffic, and not to mention the sirens which we seemed to hear a lot more of on our last stay here (October 2009). But when the TV is on you cant hear anything, there are thivck curtains as well that block out all of the light, so if your like me and like to sleep in the pitch black then you will be fine, although if your like my boyfriend, and want to keep the curtains open then thats your choice! (Noone can see in, dont worry!).
The bathroom is also very nice, with complimentory toiletries, there is a sink with large mirror over it, and another smaller mirror by the side, for them extra close ups! There is a bath with overhead shower, which is fairly powerful, youve also got a phone in there, and a speaker which tramsmits the sound from the TV into the bathroom, there is a switch to turn this off as well!
Also in the rooms there is a full sized mirror, good wardrobe space, trouser press, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer. The fridge is stocked and you cant put anything of it in yourself, as its all electronically chipped, so if you take anything out you will be charged for it.

There is also room service, there are menu's which has everything they serve, I think there were things like burgers, steak etc. But for us, they were quite pricey, so we opted to eat out and brought any snacks back in the room with us.

This was lovely, the breakfast area is situated on the ground floor and is a nice area to eat. It is a buffet styled breakfast, which does the typical english fry up breakfasts, which we took full advantage of! There is also a toast machine, tea and coffee is available, and all your fruits and cereal. It definately filled us both up!

Simple as the check in was, they check your bill, then you are good to go! Simple!

      Little Extra's
The two times which we booked the hotel using the ebay voucher we got a free botttle of champagne!! This was delivered to our room, and tasted quite nice actually!
Although when I booked the room over the radisson website, we didnt get no free champers, but it was still a great stay!
There is also a lesuire and fitness area and a spa which is on the 18th floor. We did not use these services but Im sure they are fab!

It is a great location, close to the train station, and it is about a 10minute walk to the Bullring. If you are planning on going on a night out then there are hotels closer to the main nightlife, but it is very easy to get a taxi or its not that far a walk, if its not cold!

If you do want to book this hotel, then keep your eye out for vouchers on ebay and the prices on the website, because they can easily change, and they often have discounts, such as 20% of 2 night stays etc.
