I booked a double room in the Chester Ramada for a family trip last year and had a fine time. I paid about £250 for 4 nights, using an online deal (Lastminute.com), and selected the hotel for its excellent location next door to a park and ride scheme, meaning I could guarantee easy bus rides into Chester itself, without worrying about getting lost or harrassed by traffic/unfamiliar streets. Additionally the hotel is a short ride from Chester Zoo (15 minutes), plus it has a nice leisure suite with a pretty swimming pool with a kids' pool of a decent size. I had booked into this hotel for one night, but didn't like it before I had set foot in the hotel, in fact I hadn't even left home. Now, I am aware that businesses are in business to make profits and that includes hotels. But they should always make it appear that that is not their prime raisin d'etre. They are supposed to follow the age old mantra- the customer always comes first. On this occasion I don't believe they did, and their attitude on my issues alone- tell me this is not a chain I ever want to book with again. RAMADA JARVIS CHESTER! I've been going to Chester now for the past few years, usually I would go just beginning of December before I jet off to Spain for Christmas, so I can do a bit of Christmas shopping and enjoy the gorgeous traditional Christmas lighting in the city centre, but I decided after a very busy June I needed a break and so I checked in at the Ramada Jarvis Chester on the 16th July for two nights just to get away from everything even if it was only for two nights. I have stayed in this hotel a numerous of times in the past year!its a pretty average hotel! First of all when you arrive to this hotel,you notice its just of the A55 signposted Christleton/chester city.When you arrive to the hotel,the hotel looks awful like a old hospital buliding!Very offputting!When you attually enter to the hotel it looks smart With a big reception area!The reception staff are very helpful and smiley.Its very near to the bar area,which was busy at the time with wedding guests,so was hard to get thorugh with all my luggage!I finally got to my hotel,i was on the bottom floor. i entered the room it looked very spacious and a nice flat tv,very ...
