The title may not be quite right for this Hotel but an impressive Hotel is the "Red Cow" all the same. Their web site is www.redcowhotel.com
At First glance it is the usual type of Hotel front, but once you enter the doors you are met with a very impressive staircase and huge chandelier.

The Staff are very courteious and helpful. Our room was on the first floor and the lifts are just by the reception area so no need to lug suitcases about too much. Our room was a few door along from the lift ,the corrodors are tastefully decorated and nice soft carpet under our feet. The room was lovely and large with a double and a single bed. Now if you happen to fall out with your better half then you can have a bed to yourself! Of course when you go away "fighting2 is the last thing on your mind!

The Bathroom was a good size too with a bath/shower and all the usual little bottles laid out soaps shampoo and shower gels.

The meals I thought were not as good as hoped! It sounded very good what with Pigoen as a starter (yes I did try this) and venison and Ostrich as well as the more normal dishes. But on the whole it was just OK but I guess £25 for a 5 course meal is pretty good. A more popular restaurent is just down the road called Joey's This was fairly moderate price and had everything from burgers to Salmon .

The entertainment at the "Red Cow Inn" which is just beside the Hotel but far enough away not to interfere with guests that want a quieter place to relax in,was superb and though you have to be there fairly early to guarantee a seat,it is worth it. There are at least 2 Bars with music on most nights and a night club for those that are really feeling energetic. And the best part of all is that the Hotel only cost £89pps 2 night B&B now that is value for money in a 4**** Hotel.
