In June 2009, it was my girlfriends 21st birthday, and I decided there would be nothing nicer than taking her away for the weekend. The trouble was that by the time I had decided this, and checked with her whether she would be around that weekend, it was leaving it a bit late to book somewhere. The hardest thing was I didn't have a clue where to take her. I wanted somewhere romantic, quiet and in the countryside where we could do quite a bit of walking as this is something we both love. I had heard about the Cotswolds before and had understood that it was a nice area with lots of little villages, so I decided that it might be nice to try and arrange to go there for the .. Premier Inn (Inverness West) - Great price, great accomodation. Weren't able to eat in restaurant on arrival.
The Crown Hotel (Langholm) - Clean and comfortable, a friendly welcome. Bathroom a little small but not really a problem. Would prefer later checkout than 10am.
