      Very helpful

We first stopped here because the main hotel in the area was fully booked. Since then it has become on of our favourite places to stay. The owners, Helen and David, make you feel completely at home - when we arrived we were shown into a lounge with an open fire and served home made cakes. The food is fantastic (especially the Craken - raspberries, cream and whisky) and a lot of the vegetables come from local farms. They are prepared to go to almost any lengths to make your holiday run smoothly - for example when a fellow guest wanted to leave for the Orkneys at 5am they served him a fully cooked breakfast at half past 4. The price is very reasonable - it was £17 b&b and £27 including the evening meal. The only downside was the almost see through toilet door in our bedroom which was a trifle disconcerting.
