Stayed at the Edinburgh Macdonald Hotel "The Roxburghe" for 2 nights in September 2009 in a standard double room. This hotel is one of the more pricey hotels in the area, but worth spending the extra in my opinion, especially if you break is a bit of a treat. The red carpet and on arrival porter service is just the start of the excellent service that you will receive during your stay. We arrived early and our bags were safely stored for us until our room was ready which allowed us to start exploring Edinburgh.
