I was totally shocked to find that not only was it cheaper than booking two rooms, it was cheaper than booking one !!! Premium Review Royal Albion Hotel Brighton: Royal Albion Hotel - First Impression's are not always Best (966 words)

Sometimes I travel quite a bit in my job, often enduring ofter night stays which I don't particularly like on my own. Majority of the time having my accommodation booked for me by my assistant she know's I won't slum it anywhere, however I aren't looking for something terribly expensive. I was attending a Natural Health Trade Show in Brighton, basically to do a little networking, the good thing about this trip was it was at the weekend so its easier to take someone with me instead of being bored in my hotel room alone or wandering the streets of somewhere I aren't too familiar with to pass the time of day away. I was booked into the Royal Albion ...  Read the complete review

Background information We are not going on a 'proper' holiday this summer and instead decided to have a few nights in different places so we get a few mini holidays. With the children off for seven weeks this year we thought it would be a good idea to break it up a bit. We decided Brighton would be one of our destinations as it had something to offer all of us, the marina, the lanes and the atmosphere for my husband and I and the funfair, sea life centre and beach for the children. Our budget is pretty tight and we couldn't really spend more than £80 per night. I searched the internet for B&B's and guest houses although most could not offer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Royal Albion Hotel Brighton: Good base in Brighton (897 words)

I stayed at The Royal Albion in Brighton back in February of this year. We love going down to Brighton and had a long weekend off work together so thought we'd have a look to see if we could get a cheap couple of nights. I went on Travelsupermarket.com which showed us this hotel through lastminute.com at £86 for two nights (Sun & Mon) including breakfast and a free bottle of wine, and knowing it's location we booked straight away. My boyfriend had stayed here a few years ago so we knew we weren't going to be getting luxury, but as long as it's clean I'm happy. The hotel has 186 bedrooms from single rooms to family rooms, and mini-suites for business ...  Read the complete review

Introduction to the hotel: The Royal Albion Hotel was built in 1826 and is situated in a fantastic location opposite Brighton pier. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brighton beach or the town centre. My experience of the hotel: I spent one night in the hotel in January of this year and for a three star hotel I was quite impressed. I and my girlfriend booked a double room for £55 and it was a spacious room with a four poster bed, couch, satellite television, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. When we checked in the hotel staff asked us if we would like to upgrade to a ...  Read the complete review
