What is it?

Rudding House is a luxury hotel, manor house and golf club.

Where is it?

It is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Only a 10 minute drive from Harrogate Town centre it is on the south side of the town and easily accessible from the A1

What is there?

The main house consists of 15 function rooms that are used for conferences, weddings and such like. The surroundings are stunning, peacocks roam the grounds and it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside.

The hotel has been voted among the AA's top 200 hotels and doesn't disappoint. The rooms range from about £60 upwards (B&B) and despite being 'functional' they have a real classy feel to them. There are a lot of weddings and celebrations held in the main house so hotel rooms do get booked up early (there are 50 rooms in total)

It is a also a popular site for Caravans, Cottages, Holiday Homes with a separate 'Holiday Park' area including it's own pub.

There is the Clocktower restaurant which is quite exclusive. All their food is sourced locally and gives details on the menu. The portions are quite reasonable.
The brasserie offers a more reasonable menu with the Clocktower burger (£14) for example complete with individual miniature bottles of ketchup and Tabasco, a nice touch.

There is an 18 hole golf course, an 18 bay floodlit covered driving range and a 6 hole Par 3 Course

The 18 hole course is lovely to play but very long.
The 6 hole course is not good value for money. There is one hole however that is a replica of the 17th at Sawgrass which is definitely worth trying (be brave!)
The driving range is very well maintained and good value - 60 balls for £3

I have attended weddings and may functions at Rudding House and have always had a superb time. The staff are very well trained and the best of the best.
