I stayed at the Saco apartments in Bath last weekend to celebrate my 2nd wedding anniversary. I booked the apartments because they looked quite luxurious and I like the idea of being able to have a chilled bottle of cava before I go out!

Saco apartments are luxury apartments. They are based in a number of different cities including Barcelona, Brussels, Prague and San Francisco (to name but a few!!!)

We booked this apartment with laterooms.com and the total price was £214. The usual price would be £270.

We arrived by train and the apartments are literally a 5 minute walk from the train station. There are also a couple of bars and bistros on the same road and they are located 5 minutes from the Thermal Spa and 5 minutes from the main shopping areas.

Check-in is supposed to be at 3pm but we were allowed to check in at 12.30 which was a great start. The receptionist was very nice and gave us a map of Bath as well. Our apartment was 4 doors down and had it's own door and entrance.

The apartment:
Wow is all I can say - these apartments are great. The bedroom is a lovely size and has a good sized wardrobe, hairdryer and a flat screen tv. The kitchen/sitting room is open plan and is very modern with everything you could need such as washing machine, ironing board, iron etc etc. The sitting room area is lovely and has a dining table and another flat screen tv and large sofa. Waiting for you on the dining table is a welcome pack. This contained hot chocolate, croissants, biscuits, milk, marmalade, jam, tea, coffee and some crisps. It is a really good extra! The bathroom is also spacious and has Molton Brown cosmetics (another excellent touch!!!)

Minor niggles - the bathroom flooring was lino which took the luxurious edge off the bathroom a bit. A shame really as the rest of the bathroom is lovely. When you pull up the blinds in the sitting room everyone can see in. They could do with venetian blinds instead.

Apart from 2 very minor niggles I think these apartments are excellent. So much so that I will be seeking them out n every city that I go to for a mini-break. They are every bit as nice as a top class hotel!
