The Sands apartments in Scarborough are a newly built development of luxury accommodation on the North Bay. Although it is not the sort of place that we would normally consider for a holiday, we only wanted to stay for a couple of nights, and were tempted by the unusual accommodation. The price of two nights in a Sands apartment is the same as two nights in a hotel, but the apartment could offer us, as a family unit, a much better stay. ~~the development~~ The Sands has just been completed (finished in July 2009) and is built on the site of an old parade of shops and ice cream parlour.
