Legendary hotel that has hosted both the royal and famous since it first opened its doors in 1824. It's claim to fame is that in 1922 the Irish Constitution was drafted in a private banqueting room in it. The Shelbourne Club (over 18's) is Dublin's premier health, fitness and relaxation centre - The hotel has a graceful Georgian townhouse style and is perfectly located for exploring the many delights of Dublin and just two minutes walk from Ireland's busiest thoroughfare, Grafton Street. It is pricey at £132, but is definitly worth it (if you have the money that is) as the staff are very friendly, the food exquisite and the furnishings are beautiful.
