We recently managed to get a great deal on the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh and stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel is huge and is really centrally located so that you can walk to everything you want to see in the city very easily. From the front of the hotel you can see the Castle and the Old Town, and a simple left turn will bring you straight onto Princes Street (Edinburgh's main shopping street) where you will find all the main high street stores including Edinburgh's famous Jenners store. Having decided on Edinburgh for our anniversary/get away from the builders weekend, the next thing I had to do was book a hotel. My needs were small...somewhere away from dust, damp and grime, fairly close to the centre but not on the main shopping "drag". So, there I was one evening after work, trawling through the thousands of offers on offer on the internet. I have my own thoughts on these search engines...Good or bad?
