Advantages: Free access to the park early

Disadvantages: Not a lot to do once the park closes and restaurant over priced

My self and my family stayed at the Splash Landings Hotel a few years ago. We booked to stay there on a special offer and recieved two days access to the park as well. An advantage with this being that you get to access the park an hour before the general public which saves you having to queue for as long for some of the rides, and you can collect some of your fast track tickets.

The hotel itself has a large adventure swimming pool inside, which is very popular with the children. You are able to go to the swimming pool in the evening after the theme park has closed. There is also a few arcades inside the hotel, which is often full of cildren at night as there is nothing much else to do. There is a resaurant, however it is over priced when you think you could just drive down the road to a pub to eat!

All in all, i would say that it is over priced and over rated. We were lucky in getting a special offer - many other people i have spoken to have been ripped off.

Summary: A nice place to stay but they do charge too much

Family of 4 £120 a night
Family of 6 £150 a night
This is approximate, and found on the Aloton Towers website. But you can get tickets online for 20% off for the park and then just book a local travel lodge for less.
We got a speacial offer as my mum is a travel agent.
Hope this helps.

How much approximately is this? I always assume that it is going to be extortionate. And how did you get your special offer - just out of interest. I would love to go with the children - but always assumed it was out of my league.
