As we only had a small roller-case each we declined and made our way up using one of the three lifts to the 11th floor. The lift doors opened on the 11th floor and I looked out into a hallway that was in semi-darkness, slightly puzzled I stepped out but then the lights came on and I realised that this was motion-sensing lighting and an energy-saving measure. We found our room and ... more ... entered in. Once you enter your room the key to the door has to be put in the slot on the wall to activate the lights and the air-conditioning in the room.
Our room was really lovely, for a hotel room it was a good size, not huge but probably larger ...more |

My husband and I had a short break holiday in January to London. We had decided we wanted to return to London mainly because we both wanted to see the musical Oliver and we wanted to go whilst Rowan Atkinson was still playing Fagin. We had toyed with the idea of trying to keep costs low giving us more money to go shopping but for various reasons in the end we decided to give the Travelodge a miss and go for a nice hotel instead.
