The Derbyshire Hotel was until recently called The Renaissance, it was sold by Marriott to a chain called Principal Hayley Group. It is just off Junction 28 of the M1, it has conference facilities so is usually used by business people or companies needing a meeting room. Across the road is a touchbase (a building to hire meeting rooms), a premier inn and the attached Brewers Fayre. So cheaper competition close by (check my hotel reviews to see my thoughts on the premier inn). When staying you can use the heated indoor pool & a small gym for free.
