Although I didn't stay in the Hotel I did visit their restaurant. It is comfortably furnished with lovely dark wood tables and chairs and crisp white table cloths. The Famous Star Hotel Moffat, Scotland The Famous Star Hotel is in Moffat, A lovely little picturesque town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is one of hundreds of hotels in Scotland but this one is different. Although it is 162 feet long, it is only 20 feet wide! It is listed in the Guinness Book Of Records as the "worlds narrowest detached hotel". It sits on Moffat High Street; a lovely old brick fronted building with two big bay windows, one on top of the other and dates back to the 1700's.
