Newest Review: ... may prove difficult for some. The Hotel has a first class restaurant and two bars. It also has eight en suite rooms. Although I didn't stay in the Hotel I did visit their restaurant. It is comfortably furnished with lovely dark wood tables and chairs and crisp white table cloths. We were shown to our seats and our drinks order was quickly taken. We were given a while to browse the menu and the waiter took our order; we were not rushed in anyway at all. I chose broccoli and cheese bake which came with a choice of jacket potato, chips or salad and my fiancé Mark chose steak. The food was served and it looked lovely, really well presente... more

The Famous Star Hotel Moffat, Scotland The Famous Star Hotel is in Moffat, A lovely little picturesque town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is one of hundreds of hotels in Scotland but this one is different. Although it is 162 feet long, it is only 20 feet wide! It is listed in the Guinness Book Of Records as the "worlds narrowest detached hotel". It sits on Moffat High Street; a lovely old brick fronted building with two big bay windows, one on top of the other and dates back to the 1700's.
