I managed to get a room in the famous £1 sale and it coincided with an event I was travelling down to London for anyway. Despite it being located in a very unassuming area, I actually found this even more of an appealing feature; a nice, luxurious haven in a bustling part of London that is a little edgy. This hotel is in a rather less major part of London (nearest station is Moorgate) down a not perhaps so lovely street (at least it didn't seem that great in the dark!). We recently stayed in the Hoxton Hotel a few weeks ago after getting it in one of their £1 sales (I'll come on to that later) and we loved every minute of it!
