      Very helpful

      A lovely place to relax and enjoy the longer 6' 6" beds

      I had to just write about this lovely hotel that I have now stayed in three times in the last year!

      We had been looking for somewhere to stay up North as my eldest son was getting married. They had so many to choose from be it Premier Inns to one of the Hiltons. I wanted something a bit more comfortable and special than a Premier Inn, but had heard the Hilton wasn't all that. Then I came across this one on the internet by chance.

      This is a AA 3 star hotel set in Aston Fields, Bromsgrove, B60 2DZ, it was
      ideal as we were going up a couple of days earlier so wanted to be central to the shops as well as the church and reception.

      On arriving after a very long journey we turned down the road and came across what looked like a dark old pub called the Ladybird, straight away I thought well what have I booked here. As you go past the pub you turn right and have to put in a security code for the bar to lift for you to get into the car park. Now this was looking better as in this part was an
      Italian Restaurant called Rosado's which was adjacent to the Ladybird Lodge. On parking up we got out and stretched our legs, the Lodge looked very nice and had a small grassed beer garden with tables and chairs so you could enjoy a chilled beer or wine ( or coffee ) in the sun.

      On entering the lodge you notice how bright and clean it is with it's large
      TV on the wall and cosy leather settees scattered around with magazines on a large glass coffee table it looked very chic!

      We had booked five rooms, but only five off us had gone up earlier the others were to follow up the next day. At the reception desk we were
      met with a very friendly welcome and was asked if they could do anything for us. On asking for details to Brierley Hill ( this is where Merry Hill Shopping Centre is suitated ) the receptionist was very helpful and gave us great tips for getting there.

      We were given our card for our room and we were pleased that they had
      given us all rooms next to each other on the same floor. When entering the room you can't help but be impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the fixtures.

      We had a double room which had lovely crisp Egyptian cotton sheets on the Super Kingsized bed. The bed, bedside cupboards and a huge long dressing table were made from solid oak wood. there was also a solid oak wood double wardrobe as well, with a small safe box inside.

      The next thing I done was to check the bathroom, but I didn't have to worry about this as the bathroom was beautiful and sparkling clean. This had a freestanding bath with a wonderful shower over it. There was a basket full of little toiletries to use as well. The towels were lovely and white and soft!

      Each room has a colour television with Sky and DVD player, there is also a wake up radio alarm with a CD player. This room comes with a hairdryer
      and the usual tea and coffee facilities ( and your get biscuits with it!!).
      There is a modem point for high speed internet access and direct dial telephone.

      We settled in for an early night as we had a lot on the next day. Well I had the best night sleep there ever and got up and had a lovely soak in this great bathroom ( bathrooms are very important to me when away from home and this was the best yet!). We all decided to go down and have breakfast together. This was a buffet breakfast included in this price of your room. On entering the breakfast room you are met by a waitress or waiter who seat you were ever you would like to sit.

      This is a lovely room as well, it is very bright with drapes going all around
      the ceiling and large blinds at the windows to keep it cool while you enjoy your breakfast. You are asked if you want tea or coffee and if you
      would like fried or poached eggs. There is also black pudding on as well.
      On going up to the serving area there is the most beautiful selection of prepared fresh fruit salad and an assortment of different cereals, next is the hot food which is being refilled with more as soon as it gets low. There was a very large selection of many many things to choose from even my vegetarian daughter had plenty to pick from. The staff then fetched us some white and wholemeal toast to our table, which had a selection of different jams with some marmite thrown in as well.

      If you wanted your coffee or tea pot topped up they were very pleased to do it. We found all the staff to be very pleasant indeed.

      We had a lovely time here and came back another two times, we are planning another trip very soon. this Ladybird Lodge costs from £70-£100 per night, but we did get ours for £60 when we asked if there was any discount. The Lodge is within easy access of :

      ~~~M5, M6, M42 & M40 ~~~
      ~~~Birmingham City Centre~~~
      ~~~Birmingham Airport~~~
      ~~~Coventry Airport~~~
      ~~~National Indoor Arena(NIA)~~~
      ~~~National Exhibition Centre (NEC)~~~
      ~~~Historic Worcester & Stratford~~~
      This Lodge has 18 doubles, 23 zip/link- twin/doubles and 3 single rooms, there are also 3 rooms for disabled guests as well. There is 24 hour staff available also.
      Bromsgrove Railway Station is just down the road from this Lodge as well. I would definitely recommend this Lodge as it is very friendly and is money very well spent !!
