Newest Review: ... tables, dusty, faded silk flowers and an old calor gas heater). It is a lovely place to visit kitsch, unspoiled and interesting. The Mill is alongside a canal that runs to the dock. The Mill was easy to find in the car (armed with AA Routefinder instructions) and with good signage. Appearance -------------- On the approach, The Mill looks quite an imposing building with a decent sized ... more  ... carpark and an outside area and children's play area. It is slightly confusing which entrance to use to go and book in as there are entrances up some stairs, on a level and around at the side. The check-in was up the stairs.

I stayed at The Mill (in one of their 15 rooms) for a free night just before Easter this week and thought it worthwhile to give an insight into the experience. I got the freebie from 'More Than' Insurance. I was planning to move to a different insurer and they used this free night to tempt me to stay. I was given a booklet of places that I could stay in England and Wales. As I was planning to drive to the Lakes, I thought that it would be great to split the journey.
