Newest Review: ... a huge room with only 3 bunk beds at the top of the hotel, to a tiny room sleeping 4 people. If you are going in the summer, be warned there is no air conditioning (or even really any air at all for that matter). We had to prop open the huge heavy windows with a bin whilst we slept to get some air circulating. The type of people staying in the hostel are people who are looking to spend the weekend partying. Stag do's and Hen Do's were all over the place, so don't expect to get much sleep, however you will be able to find someone to party with you at 4 am when you come home, so it just depends on what you're looking for. The nightingale lodge is a budget hostel located on the outskirts of the centre of Liverpool. The one massive draw of this place is going to be the price. Having scoured Liverpool for a cheap bed (and having been told to steer clear of the Formula 1 hotel), this seemed like the best option. The place is as you'd expect rather basic. There is a decent size kitchen for you to cook your own meals if required, and then an ok common room with a below par over priced pool table, and a big screen with the sports channels which was a bit of a bonus.
