Advantages: really nice bar/lounge, lot's of choice with hotel rooms, a good selection of food & drink

Disadvantages: quite expensive...

-History-
The Old Bull Inn (Situated in Royston, Hertfordshire) has been around for hundreds of years, it was also known as the Black Bull in 1520. So of course this pub/hotel has always had a good reputation.

-Drink-
Of course, the 'lounge' area in this pub is pretty much like any other pub. They serve most common beers along with some real ales, along with lots of wine & spirits.

-Food-
The Old Bull Inn is generally known in Royston for its lovely food at the restaurant. They serve three course meals, and make a really good fish pie! The restaurant is open at lunchtime and in the evenings, although it isn't open Sunday evening and all day Monday.

-Accommodation-
You can stay at The Old Bull Inn too. You can stay in either one of their Standard / Twin / Double or even Four Poster bedrooms. The prices can range from £75 to £130 a night, and breakfast will cost you £5.25 to £8.50. I haven't personally stayed here, but have heard that it is very nice.

-The Oak Room & Ball Room-
There are two rooms at The Old Bull Inn, both of which can be hired out for whatever reason you choose. I recently went to a family friends 40th Birthday Party, she hired out both rooms for the whole evening, and put a bouncy castle in one room for the kids. There's a small bar in one of the rooms which is very nice, although they don't serve nearly as many drinks as the main bar does. I know this is quite expensive, but it's most definitely worth it for the amount of fun everyone had!

-Toilets-
All the toilets I have been in seem to be very cleaned and well looked after. One of the Gentlemen's toilets in The Oak Room had some cracked and smashed tiles and wasn't to it's best standards , however, there was a notice saying how the managers were aware of the problem and that the decorators were coming in the following week to re-tile/decorate the toilets.

-Entertainment-

Overall, The Old Bull Inn is a very nice bar, restaurant and, as far as I know, hotel. It serves a good variety of different drinks and lots of delicious meals. It's an excellent place to hold any sort of party, and an excellent place to get some food and a drink or two when your long week is finally over. Worth a visit at least!
