Was on a girls weekend of shopping and relaxing had a really good stay at the thistle we didn't pay too much for the room and the room was nice and clean staff where very nice we couldn't ask for more but to top the weekend off we when down to the leisure club and we all had a really good massage from a girl called Ashley and the guy on reception at the club think his name was mark was such a nice and happy guy he helped us out a lot on where to go around Glasgow. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we all will be back.

A couple of years ago I decided to treat my wife and take her for a meal in Glasgow city centre but wanted to make sure it was special and so looked around to check on any hotels I could find that were offering luxury at a reasonable price when I came across the Thistle Hotel so decided to book for a night in a double room and also book the breakfast so we could go shopping the next day on a nice full stomach so here is my experience of the hotel. I often have to travel to sunny Glasgow for work and have stayed at a number of hotels in the centre. The Thistle is located one block away from the main shopping street (Sauchiehall Street) and is around 10 minutes walk from Central Station (or a £3.60 taxi ride - if like me you are seven months pregnant and not going to lug a case in the rain!). The Thistle Hotel is ideally located in the centre of the town just off Sauchiehall Street and a five minute walk from the main bus terminal, Queen Street train station and the underground as well as the main shopping and bar districts. Parking is available on site for an extra charge. Rooms here are of a reasonable size and are clean with comfortable beds and surroundings. The bathrooms are of similar cleanliness and quality. During my work travels I have stayed in many Glasgow hotels and have found the Thistle to be one of the best. It is situated smack bang in the middle of the city centre making it ideal for commuting throughout the city and for evening entertainment. The main nightlife of Glasgow and a wide variety of eateries are just a 5minute walk from the hotel and 2mins down the same road is a large UGC cinema - ideal for passing evenings on your own during business trips.
