Advantages: Clean, comfortable and good value if you can find deal or special offer.

Disadvantages: Can be pricey if no deals are to be found.

I have stayed here on several occasions and have always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. They tend to be of a resonable size and you can upgrade to executive rooms, though I wouldn't really think this is necessary unless here for a longer stay. They are adequately equipped with the usual tea/coffee, hairdryer etc.

The hotel has a pleasant bar, thought it is not very big it does tend to have a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is the usual buffet style with a good range of choices, but the dreaded toast machine is here for self service. The hotel does do meals but I have not eaten here other than breakfast. The restaurant is decorated in a mexican style and has a slightly rustic feel to it.

I have not been bothered with noise whilst staying at this hotel which considering its very central location is great. The hotel has its own underground car park, which they charge £5 per night for, this is pretty resonable as parking can be expensive. The hotel is pretty easy to get to from the motorway although I would suggest you read the directions on the hotel website. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the main bus and train stations.

As I said it is centrally located and just off Sauchiehall Street and a five minute walk to Buchanan Galleries (a large shopping mall), a ten minute walk will take you to the Kings Theatre or the St Enoch Centre (the other central mall). As well as being right in the midst of the main shopping areas there are plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from. A taxi to the SECC should come in under £10 depending on traffic.

Prices can vary but they do offer good deals so it is worth checking around to get a good price. If you want a central location and to hit the shops you wont go far wrong here if you can get a good rate.

Summary: Consistant Glasgow hotel.
