Advantages: Right in the City Centre next to the main train station
Disadvantages: Lots of stairs on various levels
The rooms are very clean and quite newly decorated. There is a warm welcoming feeling despite the rooms being decorated in the usual hotel fashion. The warms are on the warmer temperature side so make sure you don't set the heating too high. The public hotel areas such as the restaurant are freezing!!
I did notice that although there are lifts there are lots of stairs in the hotel, you go up a few stairs on one level and then two more stairs as you turn a corner in the hotel corridors. A bit of a pain if you have a suitcase!
Price of the hotel is around £100 for a double room, which is good value for money in my opinion. The breakfast is very nice and there is plenty of choice. I also stayed for a lunch and this was also lovely... although this was priced at £9 for what basically was 3 small skewers of chicken and a salad.... So if you have a large appitite its probably not the place to go for lunch!
Check in and check out is quick an efficient. Hotel location is excellent if you are travelling by train, you will step off your train... out of the train station and then you cross the road and you are at the hotel!
Summary: Excellent City Centre Hotel
