As my partner reguarly works away mid-week, this week I had the chance to travel with him as it was my Birthday and had a few days off work. The hotel that his company usually book him into was full for the date that we required so we found this one for the bargain price of £70.00 on late rooms. *~*LOCATION*~* Tortworth Court is located on Tortworth Road in Wooton under Edge and is just off the M5 Junction 14. The hotel is clearly signposted and is tucked away down a country road. The hotel has a long drive leading to the hotel with speedbumps and narrow roads it is a challenge to actually get there. Ten years ago on a cold but thankfully dry Saturday in March I got married - much to the surprise of many of my friends and family who'd not even met my fiance. For the first few years we tended to go away for our anniversary - we did Paris, Venice, Bilbao and other assorted places - hubby generally not actually realising there was a pattern to his annual trips. He did actually say one year 'I'm having a really nice time but is there a particular reason why we've gone away this weekend?' and then proceeded to swear blind that our anniversary wasn't until April. He spent £191 for a double (he mention that he was in the army so got a massive discount), he had booked it for February all we had to do was to book our spa treatments (up to £100). We both looked it up and were really excited as we looked at all of the pictures. February came round and the day of our departure to Tortworth Court, on went the SatNav and off we drove, no hitch or glitches. As we drove up the drive way towards the enterance, the drive way and surrounding parks gave off the most beautiful scenery. It looked like something ... Read the complete review

Situated not far from the M5, so you can get to Bristol and Bath easily, this hotel has plenty to offer both business people and families. The food's good, and the Orangery restaurant is well worth a try - not cheap but v. v. nice. Rooms are comfortable, and for those who don't want the formality of the Orangery, then Moreton's and the Atrium both serve excellent food. For those who like a full English breakfast, this place takes some beating, and you can walk it off in the grounds so there's no danger of your clothes not fitting. It's good value, and even better when there are 'short-break' promotions; ... Read the complete review
