Advantages: city centre, great price, comfortable room

Disadvantages: you get what you pay for

Travelodge Birmingham Central is a perfect location, situated in the middle of Broad Street (Birmingham's main nightlife) it is great for a night out or for business needs. As you can expect from any City is it in a noisey area, however I found that in the hotel you could not hear any of the outside noise at all. Due to its location its perfect for a night out, and very easy to stumble home. The location is also great if you are visting the NIA or Hippodrome, and also great for business customers.

As with all Travelodge's they are basic standard hotels, and depending on what kind of thing you are looking for depends on how satisfied you will be with the hotel. There are no toiletries provided which keeps the cost of the hotel down, however there is a vending machine in the hotel which supplies toothpaste, toothbrushes etc, and also a Sainsburys and Tesco are on Broad street if you do forget anything you need! The room itself is pretty decent, with a medium sized flatscreen TV, towels are provided and the rooms are air conditioned, the beds are comfy, and a really generous size. Check in is quick and simple, and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The cost of a room at the travelodge starts from £19.00 if you can get a bargain on the website, however they can go up to over £100.00. Its definatly worth trying to book a room in advance to get the best rate, however it does make it non refundable.

Summary: City centre hotel for a great price
