Newest Review: ... park had not been gritted and was lethal! In similar conditions I would strongly advise that you park at the top car park nearest to the road. The parking bays nearest to the lodge entrance would mean an uphill drive to return to the road. There are plenty of parking spaces and parking is free. The lodge itself is an ugly brick building that isn't very welcoming. We arrived at around 5 pm and there was no one on the desk. After a wait of a few minutes the receptionist arrived and was very friendly. The building felt cold as did our room. Just before Christmas our family went to see friends in the Glasgow area. They didn't have room to accommodate us all so we decided to book into a nearby travel lodge. I managed to find a lodge in Cumbernauld, about 10 miles outside of Glasgow city centre. I decided to book this lodge not only for the convenient location, but because the price of a family room was just £35. The travel lodge in Cumbernauld is situated on the Auchenkilns roundabout. I'm not going to give comprehensive directions as these can be found on the travel lodge website. However if you have a sat nav the postcode is G68 9AT.
