Advantages: dont stay at one

Disadvantages: none

I travel around the country with work, I have stayed in some nice and some basis hotels but nothing like this horror. Me and my family stayed in a travel lodge on the 2nd september 2006 in Didsbury, what a nightmare! in my dads room there was human excrement on the duvet from the guest previous, in my room there was excrement around the toilet but the worst in my room was the sick on the carpet and the socks that did not belong to us. my dads room was the worst overall. My sisters room was about managable if you did not look around.

We got our money back £60 but it's not the point, i have complained to HO but got nowhere Travellodge is run by Whitbread, considering they are a big company they should be ashamed and have a good customer service department at the very least they should hire decent area managers.

For anyone else wishing to complain, i was quite lucky and got transfered to the IT department by mistake they could not transfer me so gave me a main switchboard number (this is for Whitbread) Tel; 01582 424 200 ask for guest link, all complaints must be sent through to these, i am waiting for a response but we will see what happens.......

Summary: Exctrement on the duvet at travellodges

I have stayed in many Travelodges around the country and find that quality and price vary quite a bit - and the more expensive ones are not necessarily the best.

Sorry for the rating but you have some misinformation here, and publishing the wrong telephone number could result in calls to a company that has nothing to do with Travelodge! Whitbread own Premier Travel Inn, not Travelodge. sorry to learn about your experiences though. I think they are generally acceptable to stay in, when a bed for the night is all that is needed.

I have also stayed at various Travellodges and not had as bad an experience as yours. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of thing. Do hope you will add to the review when you hear back from their customer service. I would suggest it they don't reply soon that you tell them you have posted a review on here, some bad publicity might get them to clean up (in more ways than one!) their act.
