Travelodge hotels certainly dont market themselves on luxury, which is just as well. They market themselves on budget, affordable stays which in my opinion they do very well.  I have stayed in more travelodges than I care to remember, and they are not all the same in service, cleanliness, and ammentities offered but they do ...  Read the complete review

After booking the wrong hotel with Travelodge-there are 3 where I'm living now,I immediately hit the cancell button and didn't realise I couldn't change the hotel after doing that.Travelodge have taken the money £67.15 from my account and informed me I'm not entitled to any refund be it part or full so I have basically paid them for a room I cannot use and which they will then re-sell to another customer making double what the room was offered for.Is this how they get away with charging cheap rates on their rooms?I for one will not be using this chain of hotels again and shall inform anybody I know thinking of using them in the future not to bother!Utterly unbelievable how they are allowed to do this, how do they justify taking your money for a service you can't use?

I stayed with travelodge for New Years Eve in 2011 at the hotel located in Streetly, Birmingham. Having only made the booking a few hours before arrival I found it quick and convenient to reserve my room online via their website. I found the pricing very reasonable considering I was advised that the room was suitable for three ...  Read the complete review

Please note my review is about the travelodge at the M42 services near Tamworth. Recently we decided to take our 2 little girls for a few days away, we decided where to go by what was in the area that we were able to use our Tesco Reward vouchers on and so decided on Tamworth as it was near to Birmingham, Drayton Manor and ...  Read the complete review

I informed the reception staff who offered my girlfriend and I two other rooms to find that they also had no hot water. I booked a room at the Travelodge but received no confirmation e mail. When i tried to contact them it proved to be a feat for Sherlock Homes to decipher!!! I eventually found a no to be told that although i had indeed paid my reservation fee they could not find any details, i therefore had to re book and re pay.I was told to contact customer services who had no telephone contact no - only e mail. I have e mailed them several times and received no reply, i have however received an e mail asking me how my stay went and would i recommend them to my friends!!! I think we can all guess what my reply was!!

I have had many, many experiences with Travelodge over the years. The chain has been around since the 80's, but the first time I stayed in one was around 2005. On the whole, I feel they are a poor representation of the hospitality industry. They charge low prices, and offer the absolute minimum in return, which when you think about it is ...  Read the complete review

Don't book Travelodge online they deliberately made a double booking and then refuse to give you a refund. They offer you evouchers instead and when you refuse them they send them to you anyway without addressing you're complaint. They have not complaints contact details so you will be dealing with the office that's ripped you off in the first place therefore you won't get anywhere with it. I WILL NEVER STAY IN A TRAVELODGE AGAIN. Don't make the same mistake! I've only put a star rating of one because they wouldn't allow me to leave none.

Travelodge Bournemouth - our room was dirty & some fittings were in a dangerours condition. Debris was left from the previous guest. The pull out bed was filthy - covered in stains and crumbs - it had obviously not been cleaned for a long time. Carpets not vacuumed for ages - a thick layer of dust was visible round all the edges. Customer services are worse than useless. They don't respond to emails other than to send a holding reply stating how busy they are. I do wonder why they might be so busy? Perhaps it is the poor level of service that their customers are getting. My problem is that their website rejects all attempts to pay for my booking. I have tried a ...  Read the complete review

I have been using Travelodge since the mid-90s but I am now finding that the hotels are getting a bit run down. Within the last two weeks, for example, I have used Birch East, Widnes and Warrington (twice). They all have the same problems, Bathrooms with a lot of fungal stains around the bath and the shower: taps with the hot/cold indicators missing, stained carpets; stained upholstery on chairs and couches; worn carpets in public areas; loose torn carpets patched with tape. The general standard of cleaning is high and the beds are comfortable but these three hotels badly need a gneral refurbishment.

What you need to remember about Travelodge is that it is a budget hotel. You can't go into one expecting a four star hotel as that just isn't the case.! What you get from Travelodge is simple, no frills accommodation. Travelodge's are a no frills bargain basement place to stay, I think most people realise this, three stars would be top marks for any I've visited, the biggest plus point is when travelling with my wife and 3 children we can all stay for the room rate, the same can't be said for many of the other large hotel chains.
