I have stayed at a few travelodges recently, whilst visiting family here and there, and feel they are great value for money. Rooms can be booked through their website at: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/ Or you can walk up on the day, and book that way. There are always great deals going on, if you book on their ...  Read the complete review

I was on a business trip, booked London Docklands for 7 nights. I was required to pay for all 7 nights upon check-in. Wasn't a good area, but my business plans changed and I had to check out early. The front desk told me no problem and a refund would come from the main office. They are refusing to credit me for leaving early. Many phone calls, and emails and I even complained through the credit card company. They refuse to credit me. I will never stay with them again.

Many people turn their nose up at the Travelodge brand but I am not one of them. I have stopped at many branches of the chain and never really had a problem, the service has always been good, the rooms are relatively clean and you get a good bed. As a student with friends up and down the country my main use of these hotels ...  Read the complete review

Please be aware that the insurance which goes with the cancellation policy of a travelodge booking isn't worth the paper it is written on. Underwritten by Atlas insurance there are only a few conditions allowed for you to cancel and you require supporting evidence of a doctor's letter or garage itemised bill. It was my hard-earned money which went into the boking fee and I feel that it is a rip off to not receive any recompense when I had to cancel within 24 hours. You aren't told until the last page of clicking for a cancellation that you will get no refund from Travelodge either - which is a bit naughty. Is this the only industry stiill left unregulated where they can just steal your money? DON'T BOTHER WITH ATLAS INSURANCE! It's not worth anything!

Lord Forte bought the US Travelodge brand and established it in the UK in 1985. Initially they were called Little Chef Lodge's, as he attached them to many of his Little Chefs, only later rebranding them as Travelodges. Travelodge is the second largest budget hotel after Premier Inn, and have 380 hotels in Ireland, the UK and ...  Read the complete review

As a family of four who travel around the country a lot to various sporting competitions so we always have to look for budget accommodation staying when we can in either Youth Hostels or budget hotels, we have found that Travelodge while being very basic, offer good value for money especially if you can catch one of their sales and book ...  Read the complete review

Recently had the joys of staying at a Travlodge following a visit to my wifes family down south (Dudley)...well I say joys. The entire reason for my booking with Travelodge was that it was cheaper than any other hotel to stay at and on arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was ok for it's look ...  Read the complete review

I had booked a room for 25th staying until 26th, When i got there, there was an issue where the room apparently was booked for 23rd. The staff had the attitude where they couldn't have cared less despite me having evidence and despite the fact i hadn't checked in on 23rd but was standing there on 25th!!! They then proceeded to ...  Read the complete review

I visited the travelodge in hatfield central and stayed for a few nights. It is absolutely horrendous, customer service was horrible, fire alarm went off at 2am and all they said was, some drunk guy set it off.The most appalling part was in the morning i got to my car and someone had obviously broken my taillights deliberately,i went to the reception and told the receptionist, who went on and said "So?What do you expect me,us to do?What do you want me to do?"(in a very arrogant and non challant tone)I only needed him to be human.Bloody idiot!TRAVELODGE SUCKS!!!!If you need to have your valuables broken, stolen or vandalised, visit travelodge!

I will be writing this review on the Travelodge, Harlow, Essex, where I stayed for one night in October 2008. I had to attend a conference in nearby Bishop Stortford the following day. Rather than commute all the way from Bristol and back again in the same day (and probably be stuck in the morning M25 commute), I opted to stay ...  Read the complete review

Travel lodge, I don't think I know one of my friends that hasn't used them. The beauty of this company is that you know what you are getting. A decent sized room with basic facilities in decent locations. I must have stayed in 20 of these over the last few years, for short trips away mainly, but what prompted me to write this review was ...  Read the complete review

Recently some friends and I decided that we fancied a long weekend away. There were a few places around the country that we wanted to visit and so we decided to stay en route between them. Knowing that Travelodge is one of the few places that lets three adults share a family room at no additional cost we decided to see if they had ...  Read the complete review

After an hour spent trying to book a 'saver' (non-refundable) room advertised at £35 per night from the Travelodge website, and three calls to their helpline (an 0871 number charged at 10p per minute, with very slow call screening to ensure you stay on the line for ages) to find out what was going wrong, I have given up and booked a room ...  Read the complete review

I booked back in January 2009 for a stay in March. The internet booking system is a joke as to get a cheap rate, you have to book each night individually and then call the lodge direct so that they don't move you to different rooms for each night. You cannot book in a block ie/ 3 nights as to do this you are charged an extra £20.00. I have returned from one night in the Birmingham Central . I stayed on 24th Feb with my daughter. Indeed it was a smell reminiscent of some sort of rodent ...  Read the complete review

Travel lodges are everywhere! Anywhere in the country you go you will always find one at a service station or near major towns. Obviously for the price you pay, you are not going to get 5 star luxury but I think they offer fantastic value for money if booked in advance. If you know a couple of weeks before, you can often get special ...  Read the complete review
