I booked a bargain room here and I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've stayed in a lot of hotel rooms and I am fussy, but I thought that the Travelodge was excellent. My room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the service was good. My room did not have any views, but I suppose this meant that I had a ...  Read the complete review

Another trip to London, another Travelodge...this one was booked during one of their periodic sales - enabling me to spend 3 nights in the capital for less than £60 - a bargain no matter which way you look at it. This isn't my preferred London Travelodge - that honour goes to the one in Marylebone - however I had stayed at this one not ...  Read the complete review

When we arrived it was clear that the hotel had been recently refurbished. The reception area is modern and minimalist. We arrived just after the check-in time of 3 O'clock and although there were a ...  Read the complete review

I never expect much from a Travelodge, Premier Inn or any budget hotel frankly. If you wanted comfort and luxury, you would stay in a Hilton. For me, this was a base in which to sleep. That being said, you expect the basics from a budget hotel. Thankfully, the Travelodge London City Road fulfilled this. The expected arrival time of 3pm ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Does Anyone Sleep In The City Road? (1334 words)

I stayed last night at The London City Road Travelodge and what follows is the most detailed and honest account of the lodge I can provide based on my experience. I booked the room several months ago and paid £19. This bargain price was for a saver room, and one paid for at the time of booking, this cannot be changed and cancellation ...  Read the complete review
