Bury might not be the top of everyone’s destination list, although it is not a million miles from the more popular city centre of Manchester (and linked to the city via the metrolink network). However being from Lancashire originally, I have just spent the best part of the last two weeks in the region, including a couple of nights at the Village Hotel and Leisure Club at Bury. Village Hotels are part of a much larger group, including De Vere Hotels, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.
