... the level below the main reception and again is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast consisted of cereals, fruit, fruit juice a full Welsh breakfast (same as a full English but we were in Wales after all!), toast, tea or coffee. They do source ingredients from local suppliers where possible too. The food and the service were excellent and we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and felt set up... Celtic Manor ... this is how the other half lives! I live in Oxfordshire and the rest of my family are from Swansea, so we spend quite a lot of time travelling to Wales. I have often admired the Celtic Manor Hotel, which you can see from the road not long after you have gone across the Severn Bridge. It looks very grand and impressive from the outside, and I always thought it was way out of my league! However, we happenned to come across a deal on their website, where you could have a room and breakfast the next day for around £100. So my Mum, sister and myself decided we would visit family in Swansea, then book the Celtic Manor for a night on the way back to break up the journey. T... Cardiff Central Travelodge ... will be my last review (I promise) on Cardiff. Well until I go down again. As you probably all know if you have read previous reviews that I was recently down in Cardiff for my hen weekend and I had such a great time I thought I would review what I could about it in case anyone else is planning a trip down there. We decided due to it being a hen weekend and everyone was on a tight(ish) budget that we would book a hotel in the centre of Cardiff to cut costs on taxis and trains etc. We also decided that we would book somewhere a bit cheaper as we wouldn t be in the room much and just use it for sleeping each night. Copthorne Hotel Cardiff ... stayed in this hotel at the weekend having got it for £40 (for the room only) on lastminute.com - a friend was running the Cardiff Half Marathon which is why we were staying in the City - the first thing I noticed is that the place is quite a bit outside the Centre, we lucky, had the car with us, but if you don t, i d advise checking out the various ways to get into the centre. Anyhow, customer service in this place is pretty good, to be honest we only had to visit reception once, to check in, but it was polite and efficent and when we asked if it would be possible to delay check out time by an hour on account of returning late from the marathon, this wasnt an issue an...
