It sits in 65 acres of countryside and is superbly positioned between historic Warwick and cultural Stratford-upon-Avon. £10 million is being spent on this hotel to restore it to its former glory.

 ... carpet was very worn and dirty in places, the furniture was slightly shabby and there were cobwebs in the corners of all the rooms. Paramount are planning to refurbish all the older rooms once they have finished building new rooms to avoid lack of accommodation for guests, so I can understand why everything looked slightly shabby, although, of course, there is no excuse for dirt. For my mum’s 60th birthday, my sister and I wanted to do something special for her (particularly because it’s a miracle she’s got this far having brought us two up). My sister, who recently visited Walton Hall Hotel and Spa for a friend’s hen night, suggested we take her for a day of pampering, followed by a night in a hotel. Although we were travelling from Staffordshire, where my mum still lives, it was surprisingly quick to reach the hotel – just an hour down the M6.
