Advantages: A quiet location

Disadvantages: Service could be friendlier

Whites hotel is a grade II listed building and overlooks Royal kensington Gardens on Bayswater Road. It is in a quiet location for London yet the West End and Knightsbridge are close by. This is the first London hotel where I have managed a peaceful nights sleep.

Each of the bedrooms has its own design and the luxury bathrooms are designed in Italian marble with gold taps. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are exceptionally roomy.

The hotel itself is a Victorian town house and the internal design depicts this era. It is like walking back in time or visiting a stately home.

The service however I found to be a little austere as is often the way in London hotels. The hotel had an excellently rated restaurant but we decided to dine elsewhere as London has so much to offer when it comes to eateries.

We travelled with a company called "Highlife" and got a really good package including rail fare, to stay independently would have cost too much. Hotel rooms start from £200.

Summary: Hotel in London
