I stayed in the Whitworth Falls Hotel on June 23rd 2008 for one night and must say that I found nothing but positives with the establishment. The hosts were most friendly and welcoming. The single room I stayed in was large, with 2 comfortable single beds and like the en-suite facilities, spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee and buscuits are laid out for guests, with TV set included. The Hotel is just a few hundred yards north of the main Town Centre in a most pleasant street a few seconds away from the Promenade, which is a lovely walk. manager dictorial rooms small with childs wardrobe breakfast 8 - 8.30 and you have to sit where you are told unpleasant unwelcoming and a lot more

So, here we are back in Southport again and once again looking for acceptable quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Once again, Google was the means for our search and this time the hotel it identified that attracted my attention was the Whitworth Falls Hotel in Lathom Road. I did give this one some thought before deciding to give it a try. It is further from the Town Centre and also the location at the north end of Lord Street which is always the reason for our visit. As usual, the concern is that the walk back to the hotel is more than a quick dash and so, should the weather prove unfavourable, precautions in the form of an umbrella would be needed ...
