Minky Trio Concertina Tubular Clothes Airer
by bluebell190 I ordered this clothes airer from Amazon around 8 months ago now. When I had my first baby 9 months ago, I did not realise how much washing a baby creates! I can be doing 3 loads of washing a day sometimes! I bought one of these clothes airers to put my washing on, as I didn't want to keep using my tumble dryer, as it costs a ... fortune. This is one of the best buys I made. It cost me £18, and I did think it was very expensive, however I like to buy good quality items now, as you only end up buying again when a cheap one breaks. I am really impressed with this clothes dryer for £18. I think this is a great price, I wouldn't have paid anymore for it. This clothes dryer is silver, and looks a nice decent quality item. It doesn't look cheap, and the plastic corners are a light blue colour. You can get a good two loads of washing on this airer, there is so much space, unless I am drying towels on it, they hang over the other rails and you can't really dry much else on there. I put them on the middle rack, and then I can get some washing on the top rails. You can't hang them any lower than the middle rack, or they touch the floor. There is 15 meters in total, and no matter how much washing I put on it, it stays stood up and never moves, it is so sturdy! Even if you knock into it, it doesn't fall down, it is so strong and well made. It does feel quite heavy to move with all the wet washing on it, so it does hold a decent weight no problem. It is definitely an item worth paying more for, you can get airers for around £8 in cheaper shops, but this one is just so well made, it is worth paying the extra for. It is so easy to put up and down, it folds up flat, so it is easy to store away. It isn't too heavy either, I can easily move it from upstairs to downstairs myself. I usually leave this put up in a spare bedroom, but sometimes I put it outside if it is warm and windy, and it never falls over, it stays up perfectly. In the top corners of this clothes airer, are holes, which you can actually hang a clothes hanger through. I find these handy if I am drying my dressing gown, as it takes up a lot of space on the airer which can be used for other things. Even with hangers of heavy wet clothes on the corners, this clothes airer still stays up. I can't recommend this clothes airer enough, if you are looking for one, definitely give this one a go, even though it may seem expensive, it is worth it for such a solid and sturdy item, which will last for years. Mine has lasted 8 months so far, and still as good as new! This is currently selling on Amazon for £19.97, and is definitely worth every penny! Read the complete review |

Minky Trio Concertina Tubular Clothes Airer
by Abski2001 Minky Trio Concertina Tubular Clothes Airer One of the first items that we purchases when we moved into our own flat was a clothes airer and after much browsing and deliberation we decided on a Minky Trio Concertina Tubular design. This model was not the cheapest by any means but it is considered a very good quality clothes ... airer from all the research that I did and I can now verify it too. Minky Milky is a UK brand born in the 1970s by a family who started producing prepackaged cleaning cloths. The brand now makes many household cleaning related items such as ironing boards, carpet sweepers and of course clothes airers. Trio Concertina Tubular Clothes Airer The clothes airer comes flat packed and shrink wrapped when you buy it it with illustrations and use instructions included in the pack. There is no need to do any DIY or assembling with this as it is all ready made and ready to go. The airer is a fold up and down design which makes it perfect for small spaces and for houses with storage issues and when flat has approximate dimensions of 56 cm x 59 cm and 10 cm depth. The airer is predominantly silver with blue plastic detailing and cornering. To upright the airer you simply pull up the top layer of bars to full stretch and then drop it slightly and the airer will clip securely into place with the clip sections on either side of the device. It feels very strong and stable when erect and is said to be able to hold 18 kg of wet clothes, which is more kg's than you'll get in an Easyjet bag allowance! The airer has three levels of bars to hang your laundry on and when at full height has dimension of 56 cm, 59 cm and 140 cm height. The three racks are made up of 6 sections of 4 tubular racks so you could really get 24 good sized jumpers on if that were all that you were washing. This amounts to 15 m of washing space altogether and I find is just about right for our 7 kg washing machine without having to overlap any items or squash clothing together. The four legs of the fairer has little plastic caps to protect your flooring and on the top four corners of the rack are fold out corners of strong ridged plastic that you can hook additional pieces of clothing on that don't have to be spread flat to dry. To flat pack the airer again you simply unclip the latches and let the rack go down slowly so that you don't trap your hand in it! Overall This Minky airer is great, it is good quality, strong, space saving and value for money for years of use that you get out of it. These cost at full price £25 but can be found cheaper in supermarkets and online such as at Amazon. Well worth the investment in my opinion! Read the complete review |

Minky Cordless Pro Sweep
by xxfoxyredxx My large flat has laminate floorings throughout it. With friends visiting, 4 hamsters with sawdust in each of their cages and a kitten who loves to spread cat litter everywhere I really need to clean my floors daily. However I have a back complaint and a bad spine, I suffer with M.E and all these things make it difficult to ... get round to doing it and the very last thing I want to be doing is sweeping and scooping down and getting all the bits up or using a vacuum that is heavy and this is why I recently invested in the Minky Pro Sweep from my Freemans catalogue for £30.00, hoping it would be lightweight and simple to use and empty and so on. The Packaging: The pro sweep comes in a small oblong box and on the front of the box we are shown a small picture of the pro sweep and we are told that it is Minky Pro Sweep 'Cordless Electric Sweeper' and that it is for multi surface sweeping, that it is lightweight and easy to use and that it has 'Twin Edge Sweeping' then other information on the other sides of the box includes being told a bit more about the product 'Collects everything in its path - dust, debris and pet hair' and that it is suitable to be used on carpet, vinyl, tiles and laminate and has a runtime of 45 minutes from when it is fully charged and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Inside the box there is a leaflet giving yet more information on using it and how to empty it and so on then inside the pro sweep comes in 4 pieces that are simple to connect together with no tools required at all. The Pro Sweep: Well as I have just mentioned this comes in 4 pieces so you get the bottom of the pro sweep which is the head and the bit that sucks up debris and then you get three thin chrome poles that click together and the top one has a light brown long plastic, smooth handle which is a good size and comfortable to use and matches in colour the main of the unit. Also you get a charger and for 45 minutes of usage the unit needs to be charged for 8 hours every time and when it is charging there is a light that goes on..... the only negative is that you have to use your common sense as to when it is fully charged as that light doesn't switch itself off or anything when it is fully charged which to me is a bit of a pain. This when put together is a lightweight machine. The rollers of bristles are orange and light brown and you get a large strip of this , then out the corners of the plastic unit two further areas of small and shorter bristles to try get into the corners are there and there is an on and off large orange button. I find this really light which is perfect for me with a back and spine problem. I can control it although the sweeper is quite flexible and I don't lose control and the suction on this is quite strong and picks up bits quite easily though if anything is heavy I have to go over it a couple of times but it does eventually grab it. If I go over power leads and the likes it even picks those up so I do have to be careful! However this isn't fault free sadly. It is impossible to get into corners of rooms, and the front section of it is slightly beveled which means I can't get it right to the edges of my rooms and if anything is slightly damp it gets very caught up in the bristles however you can pick it all out when dried its just a bit of a nuisance. The other issue is 45 minutes of runtime isn't that long to vac/sweep a large home which means it can konk out and I have another 8 hours to wait till I can use it again however it is a wireless sweeper! It is easy to empty the sweeper as well and it holds a lots of debris. It has a a see through plastic section to the back of the sweeper that simply pulls off with again, little effort is needed to empty it but once again when I go to do this the bits can fall out all over the place if I'm not very careful indeed. On The Whole :Its easy to use, small to store and easy to do so. The handle comes off so you can use it as a handheld sweeper/vac and its all wipe clean. My only beef with it is that it takes so long to charge it up and I can't get into corners or up close to my skirting boards and for this fact I never feel like I have done a good enough job cleaning my home however if your not as messy as us lot and only want something lightweight and easy to use this could be a good investment for you! Do Google online if interested in one of these though do realise that although I got this from Kays (wwwfreemans.com for £30.00 this does carry a retail price usually of £45.00 it just happens to be on offer at the moment!).
