I tend to buy a lot of products to make my house smell nice as with having a big dog, I get a little bit self conscious that people may think it smells doggy when they come into the house.
I'm not loyal to one brand at all, I tend to try the new products on the market when they are launched and still to the one that have been around purely because I already have the plug that goes into the wall and only have to buy the refills then, so walking around my house, I have an Ambi-Pur 3-volution in one room, Glade in another room and Airwick in another room with probably more to be added as new products are produced.
The Airwick is one of the first plug in products that I have ever bought so I probably have more of these than the rest of the other brands. It costs a little less to buy just the refill than buy the whole contraption, and in todays economic climate, we have got to save our pennies where we can.
The re-fill comes in a clear bottle, with a plastic lid, which is always quite tight to remove and the bottle itself is actually quite heavy compared to others on the market and some actualy just come in plastic containers. When you unscrew the plastic lid, you will see what looks like a long piece of thic material that is covered in the particular fragrance. This is then pushed up into the plug and then put in the wall for the fragrance to be evenly distributed around the room.
With Airwick they say that this product lasts up to 60 days from start of the use, however I feel that this is a little deceiving as I have never had one that has lasted over 30 days let alone an extra month. YOu can choose the setting at how powerful you want the fragrance to be and I can certainly say that with the product you onlyhave to have it very low as it does release a strong smell out and keeps you room smelling fresh.
THe Lavendar refill is one that I have used quite a lot however tend to steer clear of it now and it actually turned me off the lavendar smell completely because the smell if so pungent, no matter what setting you have it on, and I find this particular fragrances gets on your chest and has given me a headache on occasions and I have had to turn it off. For a plug in they have to consider all aspects that yes it needs to make a room smell nice but no, it can't be too potent to make people feel ill.
There are other fragrances available in this range and I have used them and found them not to be as strong as this particular one, and give off a nicer, more fresher scent, as the Lavendar is too overpowering and you coulod not keep this on all day as it just gets to much to cope with if you are in the house.
In general its a good product, but not using this particular refill.
