Fresh, inviting and generally pleasant to spray around your home. With the many many different Air Fresheners available on the market, whenever I go to buy one, I'm sure to choose one with the odour suppression ability, which ensures that when you spray them around your home, your not just trying to mask another smell your actually removing the smell in the first place. Air Wick Odour Stop is, in my opinion one of the best odour suppression tools on the market today. On multiple occasions I have used this spray, mainly on the old and tired carpets in my house which I find difficult to give a fresh and pleasant scent, but this does the job nicely.
Air Wick Odour Stop can be bought in a number of different scents like lavender and probably my favourite of the lot is Morning Rain, giving a very fresh and clean smell to your home. It comes in a standard size compressed spray can of 300ml which retails around the £1 mark which is excellent value. There are a number of alternative brands available as well like Oust, Dettol and Frebreeze to name the main competition.
The can itself is a standard point and spray design, projected by compressed air, but be warned, make sure before you use it that you always shake the bottle thoroughly otherwise you'll end up with a bottle of spray and no pressure to release it! I found out the hard way (or rather my wife did).
Overall, a fantastic odour remover and great air freshener. It is reasonably priced and last for several months (obviously differs depending on your usage) and is in my own opinion the best one available on the market. A must buy for every home, especially smelly ones. I give this product a Dooyoo rating of 5 stars out of 5 for just being perfect. Hope you like it as much as I do.
It's nice to come home from work to a nice fresh house without any odors. I've used many air fresheners over the years to try to cover up those bad smells but have found that after a few minutes you would have to spray again. With air wick odor stop it really does stop the odor, all you need is a few sprays, and your room will smell fresh again.
I prefer the aerosol to plug ins because I don't need to use it that much and find that plug ins are on all of the time and give me a headache. I don't have any pets so only use air wick after I've been cooking fish or a curry. During the summer months I have the windows in the house open to let fresh air in so it's not really a problem, but during the winter months it's too cold to open the window so have to turn to air wick.
The air freshener comes in a 300ml can and I bought mine about a year ago for roughly £1.30 from Tesco. I use the morning rain fragrance which has a really fresh scent when sprayed into the air and is not too overpowering. Morning rain is decorated as the above picture but using green colours instead of pink. To use, shake can well and spray away from your body into the air, you'll only need a few sprays and the odor will have gone.
Overall, this is a handy product to keep in the cupboard. I think it does eliminate odors as it claims and doesn't just cover them up. It lasts a long time and as I said I'm still on my first can after a year of using it. I would recommend this product to use after meals, if you've got pets or just to give a quick spray around the house to make it welcoming for guests.
Airwick have been around for as long as I can remember & I'm sure if they asked a question on Family Fortunes (or similar) name 5 brands of air freshener then Airwick would be one of these.
These new Odour Stop areosols come in a variety of fragrances including Sunburst & Tropical but my favourite is the Lavender which seems to be both refreshing but calming at the same time.
The can's really attractive - the sort you don't mind leaving out on the shelf when visitors come - & has lovely sprigs of purple lavender so you can easily see what you're buying.
There's an attractive lever-push lilac dispenser top which allows you to spray a much or as little as you want. It seems to last us a long time because you only need to use a little as the perfume is quite strong. I find a quick squirt does our bathrooms & , having just cooked a load of bacon butties for the family, 2 squirts was all it needed to eliminate the cooking smells & replace with the fresh lavender instead.
I paid just £1.25 for this generous-sized 300ml can & personally I think it's worth every penny so was pleased to see it at this price in our local discount store when it was first promoted.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of arerosols (ozone layer, asthma sufferers etc) but with having a dog & cat plus hubby liking garlic means I've something now at hand to use if I need it!
It claims to 'eliminate odours without covering them up, leaving a breath of freshness in the air' - I'd agree with this - it's not overpowering & does seem to eliminate the smells you don't want with those you do.
The container can be re-cycled & all the ingredients plus instruction for use are printed on the can. There seem to be plenty of chemicals listed in the ingredients but then they're all like that aren't they? I only use when I really feel I need to & as you don't have to dispense too much at a time my conscience is (almost) clear.
- not the cheapest around but lasts for ages - I'm still on the same can 6 months after buying.
- does seem to eliminate unwanted odours & replacing them with those you do want.
- clever design & attractive, failproof can.
- recommended if you have unwanted odours in the home.
As I live with just my hubby and we have no pets, our house rarely has any really bad odours in it but occasionally when we are cooking certain things or when my grandkids are over there can be a few nasty whiffs left in the air.
My little grandson for instance god love him, he is so cute and utterly adorable but he doesn't half stink when he fills his nappy and when hubby is conjuring up one of his curries there is a strong Indian takeaway smell in my hall.
To get rid of these smells there is a new wonder in town known as the Air Wick Odour Stop, it comes in a typical aerosol spray tin but it does not just mask the odours it penetrates them and removes them.
This is not the first product to advertise doing this, Oust before it made similar claims and whilst oust did work it always seemed to have a very chemical aroma to it and it was hard to breath after using it.
With this Air Wick odour stop the scent is pleasant and it does not catch your throat and most of all it works very well, hubby`s cooking smells are gone in minutes and grandsons toxic bum can no longer be smelled for hours after nappy changing.
I believe this product costs around £1.45 usually but my local poundland pound shop has it in the tropical scent at the moment so that is where I am buying it.
There are other scents available in this range but I have only used the tropical version so I can't speak of the other as far as scent goes but I am sure they all do the same great job.
Let's face it folks sometimes our rooms smell not so good. It could be from pets or it could be caused by some form of emission from the human body.
When this happens what you need is an air freshener that really does the job and that isn't going to malfunction at just the wrong moment, i.e. when friends or relatives are about to arrive any minute.
I have had cheap air fresheners before where the nozzle breaks off in your hand when you press it and you end up getting a load of air freshener liquid all over your fingers or where the apparatus works but the spray itself lingers for too long in the room and you are forced to open every door and window in the building.
The other thing with cheap ones that can happen is that they fire in a different direction to where you thought you were aiming.
Well this one is not like that. Firstly it has been specially formulated so that it eliminates odours rather than masking them. Secondly it has an easy to press large (2 cm long) trigger squeeze system that fires the air freshener almost in fire extinguisher fashion into the air with pin point precision.
I currently have the Sunsplash version in my home, it is nicely fragranced and cost me £2.79.
I never thought I could get excited about an air freshener but I am excited, well almost.
I have got 3 cats and one of them is a house cat who refuses to go out so I have to keep a litter tray in my back porch. I worry that my house will begin to smell so when I was in the pound shop and saw a tin of Airwick that said Odor Stop on the tin I thought I would buy it and give it a try. I have used Oust and Febreeze before and haven't been very impressed with either of them but I like Airwick usually.
The arosol button is very easy to press down and I got a steady and quite a strong burst of air freshener coming out. You have to be very careful with this one that you do not spray it near your fact because it covers quite a wide area when it comes out of the tin and it could easily get into your eyes.
The one I have here has a tropical smell and it does smell very fruity and tropical when I have sprayed it into the air. It does a very good job of masking the smell of my cats in my house and I asked my neighbour who cannot stand the smell of cat if she could smell anything and she said no. It is not that my house smells or anything but I am always aware that when you have pets you cannot always smell them yourself and when you can it means that the smell is very bad.
I spray Odor Stop in the morning when I put out the 2 cats who will go out for a few hours and this freshens up myliving room nicely and leaves a lovely sweet smell in the air. I have got asthma and Odor Stop does not make me cough and it doesn't affect my wheezing in any way. I always make sure I leave a window open a little bit though to get rid of any fumes. I don't need to use Odor Stop again then until in the evening when I change the litter tray and it masks the smell of that very well too.
Effectively eliminates odors instead of masking them, leaving a clean and fresh scent. Tropical Escape /
