Advantages: smells nice, lots of variety scents, long lasting
Disadvantages: bit tricky to light, flame often went out on it's own
After discovering yankee candles on dooyoo I have slightly grown a bit of a love for scented candles around the home. I used to buy some from a brand called Partylite and would pick up the odd candle in Ikea but these always smelt a lot better upon sniffing the jar than actually lighting them and letting the aroma fill the room. I saw this glade air wick candle in my local Wilkinsons and so grabbed a jar called White Vanilla Bean.

Air Wick Candles come in a small square glass jar which is really durable and thick. It is filled with thick waxy candle up to about three quarters of the jar. The jar is covered in thin cardboard packing which can easily be torn off and discarded.
- My experience -
Air wick advertise the ribbon scented candle as "packed full of indulgent essential oils. When lit, the Ribbons melt to release a burst of intense fragrance that fills your whole room." I found the candle a bit tricky to light the wick as it was quite thin flimsy and would just flop down into the candle wax so took some manoeuvring. The vanilla bean scent is "smooth blend of white vanilla sprinkled with essence of fresh coconut and a touch of magnolia and musk" which I found did warm up our home and gave it a nice soft smell in our home throughout these cold winter evenings. The essences of coconut and vanilla really complimented each other exotically and spread a really warm, clean feeling throughout our living room. We live in a small 2 bedroom flat and tend to keep all the front room/bedroom doors etc open so where we light this in the front room, the smell is naturally there predominantly but can be appreciated subtly in the bedroom down the hall.
One annoying thing about this candle is that I just leave it to burn, and found that after some time the candle just stopped burning! We didn't blow on it, use a candle snuffer and there was no sudden gust of wind, but we just found the flame would dwindle and eventually disappear. It was easy enough to re-light but just considered it odd it would do such a thing!
- Overall -
Overall we really liked this candle and would definitely buy them again. We have had this some time now and probably burnt it about 5 hours a day and the wax has not dramatically gone down. They come in other scents: Smooth Satin & Moon Lily, White Vanilla Bean, Purple Lavender Meadow and Oriental Spice & Sandalwood. These can be quite costly and I have seen it for around £6 in Sainsburys but got mine for a decent £3 which is good value and for this price I'd recommend them.
Summary: a nice smelling candle, but wouldn't pay more than the 3 quid
