A lovely tactile throw to spruce up a room

I love keeping my home looking new and fresh and in my opinion one of the best ways to do this without going to the trouble and expense of re decorating is with soft furnishings. Cushions and particularly throws can instantly give a room a new lease of life and change the look.

I bought the Chenille Raspberry throw from my local Argos several months ago, It was the chenille material that drew me towards this particular throw, my great grandma used to have a chenille table cloth and when I was little I really liked the feel of it. This particular throw cost me £14.99 and I was happy to pay this price.

The throw came packaged in just a sealed clear polythene bag, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate to keep the throw clean. It measures 150cm's x 200cm's and is tasselled on two sides, the other sides are just hemmed.

Argos do this in several colours including olive, red, pearl, black, mocha, blue and the one I have which is called raspberry. The fabric is given as 70% cotton and 30% viscose.

I love this throw, its a good size and easily goes over my sofa,  the colour is slightly darker than the picture Dooyoo are showing and fits in with my colour scheme perfectly. The chenille material is tactile, soft and cosy although personally I don't use this throw to wrap up in on a cold night. Although the material is nice in my opinion its more decorative than something to snuggle up in although it would be possible to do this.

Although the washing instructions state this is dry clean only I personally put it n the washing machine on a delicate cycle, it washes up beautifully apart from the tassels which get a bit snaffled.

Overall I've been pleased with my chenille throw, its a good size and being able to wash it makes it practical too, with a baby and 2 cats mine has been in the machine several times. It looks good in my lounge but would also look nice in a bedroom either on the bed or over a chair. The quality is very good none of the hems have come undone despite constant use and pretty regular washing.

If you use this type of thing in your home I would certainly recommending taking a look at this throw from Argos.
