      1/5!

Not so long ago I washed my ironing board cover, and accidentally shrunk it. Upon looking for a replacement I was surprised to see how expensive some are, and decided to opt for a cheap version - the Argos value ironing board cover. This costs a mere £1.99, which is very low priced compared to th majority of covers which cost over £5.

The cover comes in a plain, clear, plastic packaging. Upon taking it out I found that the cover was quite thin, but I think that is to be expected from such a value product. The cover that I received had the same pattern on it as the one pictured on the Argos website. It was white with blue balls all over it, which resembled disco balls.

The cover has an elasticated edge, and to attach it to your ironing board you simply stretch it over and allow the elasticated edge to sit underneath the board, securing it. This is here I encountered a huge problem - the cover was too small for my ironing board. I have an average sized ironing board, which if anything is on the small size.

I did check the ironing board cover's measurement prior to purchasing it, but when I measured my board and it was slightly different I dismissed it as a fault on Argos's website, as I didn't think they would make an ironing board cover too small for the average board - but it seems that they do.

I did manage to iron a few items using the cover (it wasn't easy!) and it was awfully thin, leaving the lattice imprint from the ironing board on all the clothing because it wasn't doing it's job properly.

I would not recommend this ironing board cover at all, and it really is a case of getting what you pay for. I would really suggest that it's best to pay slightly more for a better standard of product,. I'm going to give this 1 stars
