Advantages: Cheap, tough to open yet easy to use, only have broken two so far.
Disadvantages: Leave marks on some clothing.
Our local Asda is absolutely huge! It has a large homeware department upstairs and I can often be found up there during my monthly Asda shop (for blue charge and what not). Over the past couple of years I have had some absolute bargains from Asda including a rice cooker for £7 and a slow cooker for not much more! These clothes pegs caught my eye because they were bright and they were just £1.00 too! In our home we have a washing line that pulls out over the bath and clips on to two hooks on the wall. This is the perfect place for hanging knickers, socks and other small items to dry such as flannels. This stops our cat pulling them down off the airing horse and means I do not have to keep rewashing knickers when they get covered in cat hair.
Within this packet of pegs are 36 pegs in three colours; green, orange and red. The colours are evenly divided in to 12 of each colour. I like to be a little bit strange and match up my pets when I am hanging up items so these pegs are ideal for me - well, until one breaks. These are plastic pegs with a spring in the middle. They are basic pegs really and you use your fingers to press an end and the peg will open, then position it over the item you want to hold in place and let it go. These pegs are a little bit tough to open but not enough for them to make my fingers uncomfortable, just enough to show that they are tough and to keep your garments held in place.
Since I have begun using these pegs I have only broken two so far. That is just because of my heavy handedness and I don't believe it is down to a fault with the pegs or the materials used. I have not had any pegs fall off my clothing and I have not had any clothing fall off the thin washing lines hanging above my bath.
As I said above I use these pegs for light small items and so the marks sometimes left behind from these pegs do not bother me. I do not hang any very delicate items with these pegs so I do not incur any damage to my smaller items anyway.
Overall I have been quite pleased with these. I have given them 4/5 because of the peg marks being left on some clothes and items. Other than that I have been pleased with the pegs. They are long lasting and £1.00 is very reasonable for 36 clothes pegs.
Summary: A fantastic packet of pegs from Asda.
