Asda Clothes Pegs
Advantages: Brightly coloured, strong, durable, chunky to hold, holds washing well.
Disadvantages: Thick towels end up with indentation marks.
I first acquired these pegs when my mum heard me moaning about my dwindling peg supply and presented me with 2 packs of Asda pegs, after a further decline in my stash (I honestly have no idea where they go) I picked up a pack recently when I was in and they were conveniently placed at the end of an aisle in a basket reminding me I needed to pick up some more. Priced at just £1 for 36 colourful pegs these work out as really good value and I don't mind replacing them when needed.
The pegs come clipped onto cardboard strips and then tightly bound in transparent plastic, a simple sticker covers the front of the pack and tells us a little about the product although to be honest I didn't actually look at it. I have had 3 packs of these pegs with a few colours I have had blue, purple, pink, green and orange there doesn't seem to be one particular set and depends on the pack you pick up although to be honest I don't really care what colour they are as long as they work.
The pegs are made of plastic and have a thick part at the top which allows for easy gripping and suitable width that the pegs do not end up snapping. The metal part in the middle is solid and as yet I have had none of the pegs snapping on me which is excellent for such a cheap product in my opinion. They are suitable and strong enough to hold anything from socks to heavy towels and bedsheets, they have a good grip on them that doesn't mean the clothes slip out when these are in use however I have found that on thick towels the pegs seem to leave an indentation mark where the pegs have been situated however it's not a huge deal for me. I have also found that the few pegs I have left on the line are still well coloured after being out in the murky scottish weather for months and are still in good shape. I have also used these pegs for a few things around the house such as holding closed open packets and although they are a little big they do the job well. My son has also played with these a few times for all sorts of games and again none of them have become broken in anyway so they do seem very safe and durable.
Overall I would recommend anyone give these a go, not only do they do the job well but they also stand the test of time and are durable as well as being brightly coloured. Definitely one to give a try.
