This is a review of Asda Cottonflower & Waterlily Air Freshener which we inherited from a full cleaning cupboard when we moved house. I think the previous people forgot to empty this cupboard but we didn't mind as it saved us loads of money and this air freshener has lasted ages in our downstairs toilet.

What is it?
The Asda Cottonflower & Waterlily Air Freshner is a spray can which is 300ml and has an upwards spraying mist of fragrance. It claims to be a 2 in 1 air freshener with odour neutralising properties and a crisp, fresh fragrance. The packaging is an inoffensive pale blue.

Price
As we inherited this, I don't know its price but looking on the Asda website, the closest thing I can find is a similar looking White Cotton & Blue Lotus Odour Eliminating Air Fresher for 90p. As it is also the shop's own brand we can assume it was around that price.

My thoughts
I really hate aerosols, in particular deodorants and room sprays as they make me choke and wheeze but sometimes in a toilet it's not enough to leave the window open and I also think it is nice to offer a spray for visitors if they feel a bit self conscious when leaving your toilet! As far as room sprays go, this is definitely one of the better ones in my opinion. I found the odour neutralising properties worked really well with just a short sharp blast of the spray and the fragrance was subtle and definitely not over powering.

Final word
I am so impressed with how long this air freshener has lasted us. It has been in the downstairs toilet for over a year and has only just come to the end today. I think that ASDA have created the right balance between a light room spray and something which tackles unpleasant odours. If given the option, I will always opt for opening a window to let in some fresh air but a helping hand from the air freshener is sometimes welcome. I would definitely repurchase this (or the other similar fragrance from the same shop) again in the future.

Summary: One of the best I have tried
