Asda Smartprice Refuse Sacks
Advantages: Handy sacks for light rubbish.
Disadvantages: Little thin.
I buy refuse sacks to clear away rubbish around my home and to use them to take to the local council tip and then just tip the contents of the sacks into the huge container. I saw these ones from Asda and hadn't bought them before and so bought them.
They come housed on a roll and are a black colour, they are held together with a paper seal wrapped around the roll. There are 45 sacks on the roll and they are plastic. These sacks are a little thicker than the Tesco ones and slightly stronger, they aren't super strong but good enough for holding the items I need to place inside these sacks.
They pull away from the perforated line of each sack and open well to a good size for using to clear rubbish around the home or garden and if you need to use them as a bin liner for a larger bin around you home.
I find they don't rip as easily as some other cheaper brands but I have had to use 2 of the sacks together to carry any items which are heavier because otherwise the sack split but using 2 for heavier items works quite well. I use 2 separate sacks to take clothes or items to the charity shop and they hold these items well enough to carry to the shops.
These sacks cost me just £1.09 and for this price for 45 sacks I think it is a good price and not a lot of money. The sacks fit inside a drawer or cupboard and the more sacks you use from the roll obviously reduces the size of the roll in the drawer etc and take up very little space. I lock my plastic sacks inside a drawer in my utility room because I have lots of grandchildren and I don't take chances where they can maybe grab a sack and cause suffocation. We all know care must be taken with plastic bags and it is common sense.
They are easy to tie into a knot if you want to just tie them so the contents don't fall out of the sacks and if you then want to just rip the sack open it is easy to rip them because they are not a thick plastic.
I like these sacks for the reasons I use them but if you are looking to buying stronger plastic sacks which hold heavier items, I don't think these may be suitable because they are not super thick. But if you just want to hold lighter items I think they would be very suitable indeed.
I will purchase these again because I like them a lot, cheap sacks which carry items well indeed and are good enough for my household.
I rate them 4 stars.
